Orange Butterfly Glass Tear BottleThis beautiful tear bottle is hand-made in America by skilled artisans. Each bottle is individually created to commemorate a loved one or a special memory. The cobalt blue colored bottle opens from the top with a cork lid. On the side of the bottle there is a beautiful orange butterfly with its wings spread wide. On the bottom are four button feet to help with steadyness while on display. Variations in color, paint and shape are characteristics of the hand made nature and are not to be considered defects. This Orange Butterfly Glass Tear Bottle has an optional matching 2″ mirror tray. The bottle sets on top of the round mirror and helps to illuminate the beauty of the keepsake. The tear bottle tradition has historically been a mourning tradition. Tear bottles were fairly common in Roman times, when mourners filled small glass vials or bottles with tears and placed them in burial tombs as symbols of love and respect. In addition to tears, these bottles are a unique holder for other mememtos like sand, dried flowers, locks of hair or ashes. They symbolize an intensely personal gift in remembrance of a loved one.
